Four Seasons Spa | Center City, Philadelphia
If you’re looking to indulge in the most plush and relaxing spa experience, head to The Four Seasons Spa. Take the elevator to the 57th floor and get ready to be pampered from the moment you step off. The space is stunning and designed with healing crystals embedded in the walls. Being the Four Seasons they offer all the luxe services you’d expect from their treatment “sanctuaries” (plain old rooms won’t cut it). That includes facials, massages, body wraps, nail care, and energy healing sessions. You should book the exclusive use of the infinity pool above the clouds.
PHG agent Kate McCann recently took the meaning of staycation seriously. She booked her and her fiancé a decadent afternoon. “It was perfect. The locker rooms alone are glorious, with wooden handled brushes, thick robes, and everything feeling just… “fancy”. After our massages, we relaxed in a room that overlooked the city. Noting it was our anniversary on the reservation, they brought us a festive balloon, celebratory drinks, and chocolates. Technically you’re not meant to use the pool if you have just booked services, but we confidently walked out from the locker rooms and enjoyed a quick dip. With the infinity pool and views all to ourselves, the moment was wonderful.”
Jeanne Whipple would like to add, “Gift certificates for a day at the Four Seasons Spa are great for expecting mothers. The staff knows just what to provide for this specific occasion.”

Sojo Spa | Edgewater, NJ
If you want to make a day of relaxing, hop in the car and head straight to Sojo Spa. It’s just under 2 hours away but we swear it’s worth it. The grounds are stunning with sweeping views of Manhattan and they are open year-round. Admission grants you access to multiple pools with the intention that you hop from one to the other. There are over seven types of saunas, well-equipped workspaces so you can “work from home”, a relax zone, and multiple dining options.
Don’t expect to sip mimosas poolside, this is an alcohol-free establishment- that doesn’t mean you can’t feel like you’re living the life. You can hang in a cabana poolside with friends, or enjoy the rooftop garden on a chaise lounge. Many of the areas are co-ed, but if you prefer privacy (ahem, nudity), same-sex areas are also an option as well.
Our Office Administrator, Mindy spent a day with friends here and gave it 5 stars “ We spent half the day exploring. They have a wide variety of sauna rooms and treatment areas that you can wander through- clay, salt, charcoal, and ice. There's an indoor bathhouse and an outdoor patio with several therapeutic heated pools that you can soak in. My favorite was their infinity pool with a full view of Manhattan. You can also add on additional services like massages, Korean body scrubs, and a sand bath. We all left feeling completely refreshed.”
Chung Dam Spa & Fitness | Cheltenham, PA
Experience a relaxing and authentically Korean Spa experience at Chung Dam Spa. If you’re comfortable with nudity, appreciate authentic experiences, don’t need soft lighting and frills, and desire smooth skin, this is the place for you. There are multiple indoor plunge pools in a variety of temperatures, a salt room, and a jade room that aids in improving kidney, respiratory, heart, liver, and spleen health. Separate areas for men and women are available where nudity is the norm. Co-ed areas require you to wear a supplied “spa uniform”.
Jeanne Whipple shared a glowing review “ After a 2-hour scrub, I leave feeling like all my daily drama and dirt has been sloughed away. It’s a complete physical refresh. The salt and jade rooms are an added bonus. You can literally take a nap in there. The vibe is that of a normal day at the local healing place that people just go to on the regular as part of their routine. No fuss, no muss. It’s somewhere I can truly relax.”

Southampton Spa | Southampton, PA
A massive spa that is a true Eastern European vibe. Located in a strip mall in the NE and once you enter through the doors you won’t be disappointed. It gives old-school charm with a big central pool, multiple hot tubs, 3 saunas, a plunge pool, and a steam room which is kind of a hybrid of all the above. Massages and treatments (including wearing wool hats and being smacked with reeds) are also available. Nudity is not permitted; you must wear a swimsuit, and robes, towels, and lockers are provided. The regular clientele includes literally everybody, and children are allowed as long as they are supervised by an adult. You can even schedule a FREE shuttle service for groups of 7 or more within 26 miles.
PHG agent Peter Brooks celebrated his birthday with friends. “It was the best choose your own adventure. We hopped from pools to saunas and back again. You can BYO which somehow doesn’t seem to align with the profusely sweating aspect of it all, but everyone is doing it. The food is authentic and even better when paired with people watching poolside.” They are open wayyyyy late, Peter has admitted to hanging until 2 am on occasion.
Liz Mack, PHG Client Experience Coordinator, also shared her review “We went as a family over the holidays. It was me, my husband, and our 19-year-old son. I loved that it was affordable for the whole family and you had access to so many options! My favorite was the Salt Sauna. When I overdid it and got too hot, I tucked into the tiny ice-cold room (there are also cold showers, but taking a cold shower did not appeal to me!). We all got massages which were an additional fee but worth it! I’m already organizing a girl's trip with friends, and I will be looking at trying out the oxygen steam room for a face glow-up!”
Massage Therapy

Haven Wellness | Olde Kensington, Philadelphia
If you are looking for bodywork and holistic healing, Haven Wellness is the place to go. PHG agent Peter Brooks enjoys sessions with his friend and lead massage therapist who specializes in Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue Therapy. As the website says “A session with Michael is as educational about your body as it is restorative.”
Peter Brooks highly recommends it “Michael is a former RN so he talks through what's going on with your body and how it’s all connected. It’s intense so not for everyone, but for me it's an essential part of my holistic wellness.”
Sanavita Wellness | Port Richmond, Philadelphia
A small, serene, mini sanctuary for massage and sauna treatments at Sanavita Wellness. The infrared sauna is exactly big enough for two so you and your bestie can soak in the heat and then cool off under the cold plunge shower. It’s completely private and reserved just for you. Massages take place in quiet, ultra-clean rooms with crisp sheets and soothing vibes.
PHG agent Vee Gordon can walk out her front door, around the corner, and right into Sanavita Wellness. Here's what she has to say. “ Sanavita is a welcoming & cozy spot offering various types of massages, facials, and a sauna. The massage and facial are heavenly! They really took the time to listen to my needs and areas that were bothering me at the time and focused on those areas. The rooms are extremely clean and serene I can’t wait to go back for another massage!”

Formation Sauna + Wellness| Northern Liberties, Philadelphia
Formation Sauna + Wellness is a wellness and self-care haven dedicated to making everyone feel radiant. You’ll be well on your way just by stepping into the space, as it drips with plants and relaxing vibes. Take your pick of massage, sound bath, cupping, and sauna. They offer incredible packages, including the “Ceremony of Self”, a “2-hour personalized ceremony that includes hands-on healing body and energy work, Somatic movement, breath work, herbal foot soak, immersive sound bath, aromatherapy, and guided meditation.”
PHG agent Allison Fegel has visited a number of times and shares her recommendation. “This cozy spot in an old warehouse in No Libs is the place to take an afternoon to yourself and indulge in “me” time. My favorite plan is a therapeutic massage with essential oils and then partaking in a traditional Nordic steam sauna. This is an afternoon of relaxation we all need. Round out your afternoon with quiet time surrounded by the lovely Formation plant collection before stepping back into your day.”
Acupuncture

Barefoot Doctor | Fishtown, Philadelphia
Our client, Jenny Corbin had a vision to bring affordable acupuncture that was affordable and accessible to those who need it. The solution? Community Acupuncture. Patients receive their acupuncture in a large quiet soothing space. Allowing multiple patients to be treated simultaneously. As mentioned on their website “it’s easy for friends and family members to come in for treatment together; many patients find it comforting; and a collective energy becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful.”In addition to acupuncture, they also provide massage therapy and have a licensed physical therapist on staff.
Jeanne Whipple shares her experience “The atmosphere is so relaxing. The practitioners are caring and professionals. A sliding scale payment allows treatment for more people and they have later hours so it’s easy to fit appointments into your schedule. Be prepared for them to really dial into your personal internal situation. They create specific tactics for specific problems, more than what you think you need, in a good way. You will feel incredible once you have been treated.”

The Philly Home Girls love movies and we love real estate. Everyone knows about scary movie season around Halloween, but how about REAL ESTATE movies? They feel like nightmares to us! This list involves movies that have the house (or realtor) as a star. Some are goofy, downright spooky and there may be a couple of stretches in the connection to real estate, but we’ve included them anyway!
