What do you love most about where you live?

I love that when I come home from I can park my car and not need it again until I have to go back to work. Everything is here and within walking distance - shops, restaurants, nail salon, small grocery store, walking trails, pharmacy, dry cleaners, EVERYTHING! It really is a dream location.

Where is your favorite neighborhood place for a bite to eat?

Favorite bar or coffee place? My favorite coffee spot is Chestnut Hill Coffee Co (love their pastries with my tea) and my favorite restaurants are Thai Kuu, Chestnut Hill Sushi, and Chestnut Hill Brewery.

What is your favorite room in your house?

My favorite room in the house is the primary bathroom because I recently remodeled it and I love the spacious shower with a built-in seat, heated floors, and LED-lit medicine cabinet. I also love my office since I spend so much time there these days. The light and the views make it worth spending so much time in this room.

Best memory in your home?

Hosting my family for Christmas a few years ago. I bought a big real tree and did the whole thing. I loved hosting and feeding people in my home. I've done it for friends, students, and family. I will miss that the most.

What milestones have you accomplished in your home?

During my time in this home, I earned another degree, started my consulting company, and got promoted. I also got better at being a host, something I always aspired to but never did until I had this home.

What was your life like when you were house hunting?

I was very much a happy renter - I did not feel the need to put myself through the stress of homeownership until I found "the one". I already lived in Chestnut Hill in an apartment and literally wanted to stay within a few blocks of that current location (my mom thought I was crazy lol). But I found "the one" and could literally see it from my apartment window.

What made you say, "this is it!"?

I knew instantly this was my home as soon as I walked in and I made an offer the same day. I loved the open concept New York-style loft, I loved the outdoor shared courtyard which gives me classic European vibes, and I loved how contemporary yet warm it is. Other than paint, I did little else after I moved in. It was move-in ready.

How did you find your PHG agent?

Charissa and I met years ago when she was one of my dance teachers. We reconnected when I saw she was the listing agent for the investment property I bought in Washington Square West.

Anything else you'd like to share?

I've always believed that one's home should rise to greet them when you walk through the door. It should be a place of peace, a sanctuary, a getaway, a secret lover of sorts. I truly loved my home and it was a reflection of me and made me shine. I hope it does the same for the next owner.
