Known for: Named one of the best places to live in PA by Niche. It boasts a cute main drag with coffee shops and restaurants. The Keswick Theatre which hosts acts from around the world is on of the towns well known landmarks.
Glenside is a Philadelphia suburb with welcoming residents. You’ll find an entire range of architecture from cute as a button bungalows, twins with big yards, and grand homes with classic features. The easy-to-park center of town makes it a place you’ll frequent often. Lining the streets are quaint coffee shops and restaurants, as well as locally-owned small businesses where the regulars run errands. From spring to fall, you’ll find the Glenside Farmers Market in full swing set up near the Glenside train station.
Warminster, and Doylestown Regional rail lines not only provide an easy commute into the city (it’s one of the busiest in the SEPTA system!), it also splits the town of Glenside into two townships. South of the train tracks is located in Cheltenham Township and north of the tracks is located in Abington Township. This is key when looking up real estate taxes and schools.
Residents can find answers to everyday living questions such as permit parking, resident services such as leaf pick up, and community pool access via the Cheltenham Township or Abington Township websites. Both sites have packed a to-do calendar of events as well.
Along your travels about town, you may pass a striking castle. That’s when you’ll know you’ve arrived at the Arcadia University campus. Located on a beautiful campus that features Grey Towers Castle, the university is a quick 10 min bike ride from town. Downtown is the perfect backdrop for many town events.
